New infoline helps victims of sexual violence

From July we have been providing a new specialized service: a phone infoline for victims/survivors of sexual violence.

How it works?

The infoline is available on 777 012 555, every working Tuesday 5 pm - 7 pm and every working Thursday 7 pm - 9 pm.
The specialized infoline is intended for all persons over the age of 16 years who have experienced sexual violence/abuse in childhood, adolescence or adulthood, whether it is an attack a few years ago or recent. Sexual violence includes rape, sexual harassment, sexual coercion, unwanted sexual advances, the dissemination of intimate photos without your consent, or any other sexualized behavior that is unpleasant to you or when your decision or your boundaries are not respected.
The infoline is also intended for people close to the victim - family, friends, colleagues - who want to consult, for example, on how to talk sensitively about the topic or how to support their loved one.
You can call the infoline from anywhere in the Czech Republic and you pay the price of a regular call.
Important: This infoline is being provided in the Czech language only. However, we are working on the possibility to provide it in English as well. We are available in English for face-to-face counseling (by appointment via poradna@profem.cz) or you can write us in English on poradna@profem.cz (we reply within 10 working days).

What can you find on the infoline?

a safe space for sharing your feelings, experiences, emotions,
information on sexual violence: where to get help in your region or how to proceed if you have an acute experience of sexual violence,
you will talk to experts that are trained in the issue and support for victims of sexual violence and trauma,
we emphasize an empathetic approach, trust in callers and openness to all your questions,
you can also call completely anonymously.
