Involving peers in prevention activites - brochure

← back to News

We have released a brochure on how to engage volunteers as peer workers in preventive programs. Get inspired!

We have successfully finished the international project Ambassadors of Love and Respect, which focused on involving volunteers in preventive and awareness-raising activities on teen dating violence.

There were 29 volunteers and coordinators participating in this project, but the total number of those who benefited from its outcomes was much higher, especially thanks to the peer educators who helped us to reach over 1500 young people in six countries. We have now completed the manual, which is one of the main outputs of the project.

The brochure provides very easy-to-follow instructions on how to identify and prevent teen dating violence. Another important part of the document are the basics of working with peers –  advantages and risks of cooperation, best practices of training the volunteers or how to work effectively and what to avoid.

It should be a useful guide to all who work or consider working with volunteers as peers, and who focus their activities on prevention or awareness-raising.
